White Flame

As part of an underground resistance group, infiltrate a bustling industrializing city, sneak past guards, and infiltrate the royal palace through stealth and platforming to assassinate the corrupt governor of this oppressed city.

A conceptual level designed in Unreal Engine more as a test of working with level design, level pacing, lighting, world building, and set dressing.

Engine Used: Unreal Engine 5

Runtime: 15 - 30 minutes

Level Design and World Building

Worked as the sole level designer to create a world that felt lived-in and fun to explore, be it a bustling coastal market, fervent protests, hidden caverns, or isolated palace interiors.

Set Dressing

Whether to help with immersion or provide context clues for puzzle solutions, set-dressing is essential to help ensure the quality of any good level.

Blueprints Programming

As the sole programmer for this project, I went from knowing absolutely nothing about Unreal and Blueprints to being able to program encounters, item interaction, and even a developed checkpoint and saving system.

Puzzle Creation

Through careful design, constant playtesting, and just as content revision, I worked to create obstacles and challenges for players to help increase interest and ensure a degree of challenge that ensures completion feels all the more earned..
